Some
of my favorite comic books are: Batman,
Superman, X-Man, Spiderman, Sin City, and Spawn. There are a lot of comics that I’ve read in the past, but
those are the ones that I prefer [KS1] to
read. Getting
the stories out of the comics, the movie industry made a lot of movies about
superheroes and their adventures. [KS2] The
Comics are illustrated books supported by text, drawled panels and conversation
clouds.
One
of the modern comicbooks that everybody has heard about is Superman. He was born as Kal-el on Krypton. His parents sent him
from the planet Krypton to hide him on Earth, and Superman uses his alter-ego,
Clark Kent, to hide his identity. He pretends to be a journalist that works
together with Lois Lane, the woman that he loves. He protects the innocent and
fights his rivals. One of the villains that Superman fights against is Lex
Luther. He[KS3]
possesses a piece of Kryptonite and that mineral is the only thing that can
kill Superman. Bruce[KS4]
Wayne comes from a multimillionaire family. After his parent’s death he promised
himself that he would fight the crime in the world and help innocent people. Peter
Parker becomes Spiderman after he was bitten by a radioactive spider, and gains
the ability to mutate and to have spider skills but human form at the same
time. Spiderman wears a costume and he fights crime and some villains like the
Green Goblin who want to destroy him. One of the villains that Superman is fighting
against is Lax Luther. He possesses a piece of kryptonite and that mineral is
the only thing that can kill Superman.[KS5]
Batman’s
alter ego doesn’t scare the criminals a lot, so he decides to use a bulletproof
costume in a shape of a giant bat and that will help him secure his identity
and scare the criminals. [KS6] But
this decision of his will not affect very good on the crime fight. [KS7] Some
criminals that Batman fights are the Joker, The Riddler, and The Penguin..
X-men is an association of many people with special powers(mutants). Professor Xavier is the leader of the X-Men and
he established a school for people with
supernatural powers. He trains them and teaches them how to control their
powers and use them in a good way. Magneto forms the Brotherhood of mMutants
and they battle the X-Men. Magneto wants to destroy all of the mankind and set
the mutants to rule the world. Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Rogue,
Shadowcat, Gambit are all X-men heroes[KS8] .
The X-men comics and some of the other comics
that I’ve mentioned have been adopted into other media, included animated
series, video games, commercially movies.[KS9]
